There’s been a whole lot going on about the Wiimote as an interface to pretty much everything. It’s very flexible, relatively cheap and easy to use and a few of my students are using them in projects.
It’s interesting to see the DJWiij site that Ian just posted. The thing that I found most illuminating wasn’t just the Wiij action, but the his comment at the end that you really need to show a visual so that people know what to do (i.e., dance, stop dancing, spin on your head). “It’s showbiz” as he says, which is very true. There’s a lot to learn in interactive/perfromance design from that.
