Ex-Googlers Doug Edwards and Ron Garrett have set up the Xooglers blog. It makes fascinating reading for anyone who has ever been involved in a dotcom startup/boom and just for the insight into the culture at Google (which so many dotcoms tried to emulate). There are also some brilliant posts about the perils of last minute tweaks to code.
It’s not a dysfunctional rant either but well-informed and thoughtful. It is also a great account of how small things (like who you share an office with) can affect your sanity, your work and the projects you are working on. Organisational psychologists would have a field-day there.
